In addition, the development of new wall materials is the need of energy conservation and emission reduction. At the global climate change conference, the Chinese government made an independent commitment to reduce carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by 40% - 45% by 2020 compared with 2005. Building energy consumption accounts for 20% to 40% of the total energy consumption in the world, and about 27% in China, which is equivalent to 370 million tons of standard coal annually. "There is a large space for building energy conservation in China, which also provides a good development opportunity for the development of new wall materials." Deng Xinggui said.

The development of new wall materials is also the need of building energy conservation and fire safety. "Building energy conservation and fire safety put forward higher requirements for the development of new wall materials. In recent years, after the high-rise building fires caused by external wall thermal insulation materials in Shanghai, Shenyang and other places, the state began to attach importance to how to organically combine building energy conservation and fire prevention Deng Xinggui said.

At present, China's new wall material development and technology innovation system has not yet formed. According to Deng Xinggui's analysis, firstly, the enterprise's investment in technology development is insufficient, the ability of independent development is weak, and the phenomenon of repeated construction is relatively serious; secondly, the research on market demand and change is not enough; thirdly, the direction of tackling key problems is not very clear even with funds; thirdly, there is a lack of effective organization and coordination in regional division of labor and cooperation.

"The research on the market and application technology of the government and the competent departments is relatively backward. Some new products are not listed in the engineering construction standards, so they can not enter the construction application field smoothly, which limits the application scope and quantity of new wall materials. At the same time, the state has not eliminated the backward production technology and high energy consumption wall material production enterprises, as well as the backward external wall external insulation system and external wall internal insulation system, which directly affects the application and promotion of new wall materials Deng Xinggui said.
